Then one night under cold, clear moonlight, the rabbit turns into a stunning, aloof older woman—

Yi Ke’s pupils blow wide: “You’re some kind of fairy?!”

That breathtaking face flashes with anger. A cold glance, chin lifted in pride—and out comes: “Insolence! I am Lord Jade Rabbit, attendant to Immortal Chang’e!”

To keep her “golden cage” dream life running, Yi Ke kicks into overdrive—peak workhorse mode.

Lord Jade Rabbit is shy, powerless, and has exactly one hobby: needling her at every turn.

While she’s sketching designs: “Anyone with hands could draw that.”

On missions: “Watch yourself. Don’t come back missing an arm or a leg.”

Yi Ke eats it all up with a grin—

Sharp tongue, soft heart. Says no, means yes. She’s into it!

Later, the rabbit lady gets even more tsundere: “You’re in my heart. You—be my wife.”

One day on an urgent op, Yi Ke is caught.

In a dark room she looks up—and her Jade Rabbit walks toward her step by step, half-smiling.

The people who grabbed her bow low, utterly deferent to Lord Jade Rabbit.

Yi Ke’s pupils blow wide again. Jade Rabbit cups her chin, breath warm at her ear: “Oops. You found me out.”

Her grip tightens until their eyes lock: “Turns out you were playing weak. So was I.”

“Darling, don’t hate me. Didn’t you promise to be my wife?”
