Chapter 52
Chapter 52
Abnormality
Tan Tan suddenly felt a little bitter.
I’m not amazing at all. I almost just tried to seduce your husband.
He took out his phone, typed Jing Miao’s name, and raised it for confirmation, nodding.
Xi Siyan found him too adorable and lightly pinched his chin for a kiss.
“Good baby.”
Boss Zheng sat there with his mouth open, looking like someone who had never seen the world.
Inside he was screaming:
*What the hell did I just do?*
Trying to send a man to Xi Siyan—
and I even sent one not as good-looking as his wife!
He suddenly understood why “pure” could keep a man in his thirties bound heart and soul.
Tan Tan, as a celebrity, was already top-tier in looks—clean and pretty too.
But compared with Xi Siyan’s wife…
he looked just a little worldly.
That one was pure from the bones to the face.
That “gege” almost had Boss Zheng standing up on the spot…
No! I’m straight!
Boss Zheng wailed inwardly and said awkwardly:
“Mr. Xi, has little sister-in-law eaten? Want to order something?”
Then seeing Xi Siyan’s gentle, infatuated expression, he knew he had blown it.
Xi Siyan smiled.
“No need, thank you, Boss Zheng. My child has been spoiled by me and basically doesn’t eat outside food. We’re pretty much done talking here. If you don’t mind, I’ll take him home first. I still need to cook.”
Second-in-command, smiling without warmth:
“Take care, Brother Xi!”
Boss Zheng:
“…Hahaha, right. Mr. Xi is truly a good man…”
Xi Siyan nodded.
“Looking forward to this cooperation. We definitely won’t disappoint Boss Zheng.”
He took Jing Miao’s hand to leave.
At the door, Jing Miao paused, turned back to Tan Tan, and bloomed into a bright smile:
“Bye, Tan Tan! Keep it up!”
Tan Tan froze, then waved.
“Bye.”
After they left, Tan Tan said:
“Boss Zheng, this one isn’t on me, right? I already told you Xi Siyan is pretty devoted… About that show you mentioned…”
Boss Zheng lifted his chin.
“Relax. Not your fault. The show I promised is still yours. My intel was wrong.”
He smacked his lips.
“Say… if I wanted one like Xi Siyan’s wife, where would I even find that?”
Tan Tan gave an embarrassed smile.
“Boss Zheng, honestly… that type isn’t born that way. He was raised that way by Xi Siyan. Could you do that? I heard from classmates before—when little sister-in-law graduated university, Xi Siyan’s parents personally went. Their whole family treats him like a treasure. Calling him ‘untouched by worldly dust’ isn’t even exaggerated.”
Thinking about Xi Siyan’s behavior, Boss Zheng shivered.
“Forget it, forget it. I’m not good at serving people. What a pity though—the Xi family has a relative who’s apparently a huge financier in your circle. If you could hook even a little bit of that, you’d be living high.”
“Heh, forget it… Actually my abilities are okay. I’m already very grateful you gave me a program.”
Tan Tan smiled politely, thinking:
This kind of thing won’t happen a second time.
Back home, Jing Miao sat petting the dog and told Xi Siyan—who was washing his lunchbox—about funny moments from the school outing.
Xi Siyan listened with a smile, then asked in a very jealous tone:
“Any kids propose to marry you today?”
“Yes!”
Jing Miao said.
“But I told them teachers can’t marry you guys—teacher is already married. Then one little girl cried, and I coaxed her for so long, gege.”
Xi Siyan sighed heavily and opened his phone to post on Zhihu:
— My wife is an elementary school teacher and too popular with kids. What should I do?
Then he felt ridiculous, deleted the question, and walked over to hug him.
Xi Siyan was just about to play the victim when he noticed Jing Miao seemed low.
“What’s wrong, baby? Taking care of kids was tiring today?”
“No. Taking care of kids isn’t tiring. I’m not very happy, gege,” he said sullenly.
“Be good. What’s wrong? Tell gege, okay?”
Jing Miao buried his face in Xi Siyan’s collar and sniffed.
In a muffled voice he said:
“Smells bad.”
Xi Siyan didn’t quite process it.
“What?”
“The perfume smell on gege—bad. The smell on Tan Tan too—bad.”
Then sudden realization flashed across his face, followed by visible disgust as he pushed away from Xi Siyan’s arms.
“Did you hug him?”
Xi Siyan froze, then laughed so hard he couldn’t speak.
This time Jing Miao got fully angry.
He stuffed the corgi into Xi Siyan’s arms and turned to go upstairs.
Xi Siyan put the corgi down and quickly caught him, sweeping him up in his arms.
“Baby, are you jealous? Are you?”
Jing Miao struggled.
“No!”
“Let’s go shower first, good baby!”
Still laughing, he carried him back to the room in a few quick steps and stripped off today’s clothes at high speed.
“Look, baby. Don’t want these clothes anymore. After showering there won’t be that bad smell.”
Jing Miao was still angry.
“Is this about clothes?! You hugged him!”
“I didn’t!”
Xi Siyan denied it immediately.
“How could I hug someone else?”
Jing Miao’s face flushed red with anger.
He held it in for half a day, then burst out:
“Tan Tan is prettier than me. Does gege like him?”
Xi Siyan choked.
“What nonsense are you saying, Miaomiao?”
The more Jing Miao thought, the angrier he got.
He climbed off the bed, grabbed his phone, and unfollowed Tan Tan.
“I don’t like him anymore! Don’t like him anymore! I don’t like you anymore either!”
Xi Siyan pinned him back onto the bed with one hand.
“Who don’t you like?”
Jing Miao froze from the shout, then burst into tears.
“Don’t like you! Don’t like gege! You hugged someone else! You had dinner with someone else! You don’t want me anymore!”
The person beneath him twisted and struggled nonstop.
Xi Siyan sighed several times.
“Okay, okay. Baby, don’t cry. Can gege kiss you? Don’t cry. Be good and listen to me.”
“I didn’t hug him. Someone pushed him and he fell onto me. Gege moved away immediately.”
“I didn’t know he’d be there before I went. I’ll never go there again.”
“I brought Miaomiao upstairs precisely to let them see—gege already has you, so don’t come near me…”
“Gege won’t go out alone for dinner anymore, okay?”
“Good baby, don’t cry.”
Only then did Jing Miao stop resisting, pressing against Xi Siyan’s shoulder and sobbing.
Xi Siyan lifted him and coaxed him.
“Okay, okay, don’t cry. Gege will run the bath. Let’s bathe together, okay?”
“Swear it,” Jing Miao said, still crying, “that you won’t go out to eat with boys prettier than me ever again.”
