Chapter 50
Chapter 50
Abnormality
“Where is gege going to eat?”
Xi Siyan looked at the message Wang Song sent, then held it up for Jing Miao to see.
“Jingxing Tiandi Club.”
Jing Miao blinked, smiled a little.
“Okay. I’ll wait for gege to come home. Turn your phone on—I want to message you.”
Xi Siyan kissed him.
“Okay. Good baby.”
In the morning, Xi Siyan dropped Jing Miao off at school.
He also hauled out a lot of desserts he’d ordered from an upscale pastry shop in the capital—meant for Jing Miao to share with his students.
The kids stared at the pile and went “wowwowwow,” exclaiming in awe. Every mouth shouted that Teacher Jing was their favorite.
Jing Miao got surrounded three layers in and three layers out. He coaxed this one, hugged that one, patted this one’s head and reached to hold the other one’s hand.
Xi Siyan was helpless. He was moving boxes while his wife was like Tang Sanzang walking into the Spider Demon Cave.
He often drove Jing Miao to and from work, so the teachers at the same grade level already knew him.
One of Jing Miao’s colleagues helped carry things and laughed hard.
“Xiao Jing is so loved by the kids. Last month during the garden fair, we voted for ‘Teacher of the Year.’ Xiao Jing’s votes were a landslide—more than a hundred above second place. Almost three-quarters of the students voted for him.”
Sometimes even Xi Siyan found it odd—Jing Miao was simply too attractive to children.
His cousin’s kid, who attended high school abroad, came back for Spring Festival and stayed with Jing Miao for a few days. Then he cried and refused to leave.
A fifteen- or sixteen-year-old boy already 1.7 meters tall clung to Jing Miao and said that in this life he belonged to “Auntie” forever.
Xi Siyan got so angry he even blocked his cousin on WeChat. He only added him back after Su Wan persuaded him—
not assassinating that brat was already Xi Siyan’s limit.
Xi Siyan smiled lightly.
“Yes.”
He politely handed over a few bags of coffee and snacks for adults.
“Sorry to trouble you. Please keep an extra eye on our Miaomiao today.”
Jing Miao’s colleague hurriedly accepted, smiling with a suggestive warmth.
“So polite, Xiao Jing’s gege. It’s what we should do. You’re really too good to Xiao Jing—if my boyfriend were even half as good as you, I’d be able to smile at him a few more minutes when I got home.”
Xi Siyan answered modestly.
“No. He’s also very good to me.”
Jing Miao’s colleague: “Eee—stop showing off. I’m going to ship myself to death.”
“Gege!” Jing Miao taught third grade. Around him were children only as tall as his thighs. Holding one kid in each hand, he said goodbye to Xi Siyan with helpless sweetness. “Gege, bye.”
Xi Siyan couldn’t squeeze in. He could only wave goodbye.
“Teacher Jing, Teacher Jing! I want to hold hands too!”
“Wuwuwu I want Teacher Jing to hug me too!”
“I want to sit with Teacher Jing!”
“Get lost! Teacher Jing is sitting with me!”
“Teacher Jing is so pretty today! Teacher Jing is the prettiest teacher in the world!”
“Nonsense! Teacher Jing is prettier than celebrities—he’s the prettiest person in the world!”
……
Xi Siyan pressed a hand to his forehead as he listened to the kids chirping. Irritability rose in him.
What if these little demons still remembered Jing Miao after they grew up?
That night, Xi Siyan instructed Su Wan on both the left and the right, then—rarely—changed into formal wear and went to that dinner.
When he entered, only a few people were seated. On the table were liquors costing over a hundred thousand per bottle, and expensive cigars.
Perfume and cigar smoke mixed together. The Xi Siyan from the past used to navigate this world of indulgence with ease.
Now he could barely stand it.
It stank.
He missed the clean, sweet smell on Jing Miao.
Milky-soft.
After a shower, mixed with a hint of jasmine essence—
one breath and he’d get drunk on it.
Wang Song had given advance notice, saying a partner would come. When everyone saw Xi Siyan, they all paused in surprise.
For no reason, the phrase “upright roots, domineering CEO” popped into their minds…
The Boss Zheng at the center had naturally already done a quick read on this partner’s background.
He discovered not only was this man a nationally recognized talent, he was also the only son of a major leader; and his mother was a big-name entrepreneur Boss Zheng was trying to build ties with…
So before Xi Siyan even arrived, the “script” of the dinner had already changed.
Boss Zheng decisively turned from being the flattered protagonist into the one doing the flattering—supporting role.
Wang Song had repeatedly emphasized that this was an important “patron,” yet Xi Siyan felt something was off…
“I’ve already signed the contract,” Boss Zheng said. “Xiao Xi, take a look. If anything isn’t enough, just say so. I’ll add it.”
Xi Siyan: “……”
This wasn’t matching the script at all.
He passed the contract to Wang Song’s second-in-command.
“You’re too kind, Boss Zheng.”
Boss Zheng sized Xi Siyan up, thinking:
If I’m buttering him up, I should prepare something.
For a young master like this, worldly gifts were surely meaningless. So Boss Zheng asked around about Xi Siyan’s preferences.
What he found shocked him.
A legendary name in the capital’s circles of gay second-gens in politics and business.
He never mixed in the scene, then suddenly word spread he was gay.
Before anyone even confirmed it, he suddenly came out.
Before anyone knew what kind of immortal his partner was, he suddenly got married.
And their love story was sung everywhere…
Leaving many bottoms heartbroken overnight.
This time Boss Zheng knew exactly how to cater.
He heard that although Xi Siyan’s partner was young and pretty, he was “pure” to an extreme. A man in his thirties—surely he wasn’t satisfied.
So Boss Zheng waved his hand grandly.
“Hello, Brother Xi. My name is Tan Tan.”
Xi Siyan looked at the pretty boy’s face and felt it was familiar.
After the boy gave his name, Xi Siyan suddenly understood.
This was a member of a recently popular idol survival show boy group—debuted in third place.
Jing Miao had watched a few episodes and told Xi Siyan that Tan Tan was the prettiest. He even wanted to “support” him, spent several thousand buying yogurt to vote for him, and in the end had the yogurt hauled to the school and institute.
But Tan Tan didn’t debut as center.
Jing Miao had been angry for a long time over it, rare for him to complain:
“This show is so terrible!”
Xi Siyan turned his puffed-up face back toward him and asked:
“Am I good-looking, or is Tan Tan good-looking?”
Jing Miao instantly deflated, dimples appearing. He wrapped his arms around Xi Siyan’s neck, soft as cotton.
“Gege! Gege is the best-looking!”
Boss Zheng reminded Tan Tan with a grin:
“Xiao Tan, I heard you used to be from Huada Affiliated High. Mr. Xi here is from Huada too—you’re half alumni.”
Tan Tan smiled shyly.
“Mm. Brother Xi is very famous. I’m not that smart, I didn’t get into Huada, but Brother Xi’s name is famous at Arts U too. I finally get to see him in person today.”
