Chapter 12
Chapter 12
The Popular Darling Says She’s Pregnant with My Child
Transmigration Diary 12
Things being what they were—and doctor’s orders—Su Yan and Charlotte could not make Wen Shiyu leave.
Su Yan crossed arms, sighed suddenly: “I’ll be watching you.”
“Huh?”
Su Yan looked at Wen Shiyu word by word: “From today I supervise the whole process.
While you help her I must know what happens between you, what you do to her. Any abnormality—you report at once.”
Wen Shiyu: “……”
No please.
While Su Yan lectured Wen Shiyu, Charlotte’s eyes turned—she slipped quietly from the study to the lounge next door.
Cefalina curled in a single armchair, chin in hand, annoyed replay—
How did she repel her friend with pheromones.
Where did she go wrong?
Maybe should not have bought Wen Shiyu the collar or let her stay overnight. More contact—brain more wrong……
This would not do.
“Cefalina.”
Charlotte came over, sat close. “We heard—you’re…… pregnant.”
“But will you really have the bully’s baby?”
Cefalina’s ears faintly red—embarrassed before friend—but could stay calm.
She looked at Charlotte—slow nod.
“Mm.”
She had wavered—but decision was made.
“Losing the child would hurt more.”
Charlotte nodded—guessing this was part of pseudocyesis.
“It’s okay Cefalina. We’ll help.”
Cefalina looked lost.
Charlotte lowered voice. “Remember? Su Yan’s family invests in pharma—especially pheromone research.”
“Take Wen Shiyu to the lab, sample her, simulate identical pheromones, portable perfume—you won’t need her anymore.”
“Honestly you’re too soft on Wen Shiyu. We’ll help you get revenge too.”
They too? Cefalina blank—hesitant nod—brow never smoothed.
Charlotte hugged her—casual sigh, pointed whisper:
“Good thing Su Yan doesn’t know…… after deep marking you get this dependent on Alpha.
Otherwise at the cafeteria door she might not have held back.”
Cefalina looked at her. “Su Yan wouldn’t.”
Charlotte exaggerated. “Alpha law says otherwise. Pheromone spike—who knows. News like that all the time.”
Gold eyes blinked, faux sweet on Cefalina’s shoulder. “We Omegas really should rely on each other more~”
——
Wen Shiyu missed that morning class after all. The rest too—tied to the trio.
In class she still sat Cefalina’s right—
But kept feeling Su Yan’s solid gaze from the left.
Help……
Why stare—listen to lecture.
Behind them Charlotte propped her face—molten gold eyes not idle—
Interest ping-pong between Wen Shiyu and Su Yan—who knew what she thought.
Schedule forced—whole afternoon surrounded.
After dinner Su Yan and Charlotte did not leave—naturally followed Cefalina to the villa.
Cefalina disapproved at first—brow knit wanted to speak.
Su Yan adamant: “Until she’s gone I’m not leaving. If she stays—I stay.”
Gaze meaningfully on Wen Shiyu.
Cefalina speechless—cheeks faint red. “I don’t know what you’re worried about. I—I won’t let her stay overnight again—”
But she did not tell Wen Shiyu to leave. Su Yan and Charlotte stayed.
Four in the wide living room—books, homework.
Weird and harmonious.
“Tomorrow you’re coming with me.”
Su Yan suddenly.
Wen Shiyu looked up from book: “?”
Took seconds to confirm Su Yan meant her.
Tomorrow Saturday—no class. But why—
Su Yan read her doubt, calm add-on. “Pheromone lab.”
Wen Shiyu blank. They had said—perfume to replace her. She was glad—first choice anyway.
“How long?”
“Maybe all day.” Su Yan answered, eyes not leaving her face.
But…… Wen Shiyu thought—no glands—what could they “extract”? Whole day necessary?
Almost wanted private talk with Su Yan.
Soon she guessed.
Probably for Cefalina’s eyes?
They must make Cefalina believe science, proper, time-consuming extraction.
Then Su Yan’s perfume would work.
Maybe normal sampling really took that long.
Wen Shiyu swallowed doubt, nodded: “……Got it.”
Head down—few notes—worry rose—glanced at Cefalina.
Did not expect Su Yan to go this far.
With Su Yan and Charlotte present she and Cefalina barely touched today. Tomorrow gone all day…… could Cefalina’s body hold? Pale vomiting again?
When explaining to Su Yan she had only mumbled holding hands, closeness helped.
Now…… what?
Later Charlotte suggested Su Yan juice for everyone.
Both to the kitchen.
Rare chance—Wen Shiyu slid to Cefalina, whisper:
“What do we do—steal a kiss……”
Cefalina blank, red again. “Wh-what are you saying.”
“While they’re out—soothe you.” Wen Shiyu glanced at kitchen.
As if ready to steal a kiss any second.
“Or you’ll feel bad tomorrow.”
Cefalina understood. “……”
Lips pressed.
“I—I’m fine.”
A bit hollow—Wen Shiyu nearby did help—but no contact today and need seemed upgraded.
She did feel faintly off.
But how could she—
Hide from friends and kiss Wen Shiyu.
Face hot……
Too weird.
Wen Shiyu should be sworn enemy…… foe……
Kitchen side.
Charlotte made the chance—alone with Su Yan on purpose.
Leaning on counter, watching Su Yan cut fruit, teasing: “You’re not really spending all day tomorrow with that Wen Shiyu.”
Su Yan did not look up: “Of course. What.”
Charlotte tugged mouth—smile unclear. “Su Yan—you never knew?”
“Knew what?” Su Yan finally looked up.
“Wen Shiyu opposed Cefalina from the start—even vile rumor posts—” Charlotte slow, gold pupils bright,
“Because she likes you.”
Su Yan blank. “Nonsense.”
“I’m not.” Charlotte crossed arms. “Anonymous forum posts—you never noticed?
Many were Wen Shiyu—IP and habits, easy guess. Content—eight or nine out of ten daydreams about dating you.
Oh—she picked your club, squeezed into student council—barely saw you given her ability.”
“Anyway. She’s super into you.” Charlotte blinked.
Su Yan speechless—forgot to cut fruit—clearly first time hearing.
“In a sense her going wrong—even hurting Cefalina—you share blame. Su Yan.”
Charlotte smiled.
“Be nicer to her. She’ll stop fixating on Cefalina.”
……
Thanks to Su Yan and Charlotte Wen Shiyu got back to her dorm before curfew.
Should be relief—instead worry.
Leaving Cefalina’s pale eyes followed her—
Like hurting.
Overthinking? Wen Shiyu rubbed brow.
Su Yan oddly silent second half—left after confirming dorm return. Charlotte left a step later.
Shadow under the dorm Charlotte called Wen Shiyu.
Playful smile, pointed tone: “Wen Shiyu—you’re not really going all out to treat Cefalina, are you?”
Wen Shiyu stopped, puzzled. “I want her better fast.”
“Really?” Charlotte tilted head. “If she’s cured—no more your ‘pheromones’—Cavendish tuition promise goes too. Thought of that?”
Wen Shiyu blank. Busy with crises—had not calculated selfishly.
Brow knit—still answered. “I want her recovered. Tuition…… there’ll be other ways.”
Charlotte paused—stared seconds.
Courtyard lamp soft—halo on Wen Shiyu.
Face gentle in the light—clear eyes. Clean as moonlight. No false note.
Without prior knowledge of her deeds Charlotte could hardly link her to those posts.
Now she looked kind, strong—warm bright like sun.
Like Cefalina.
No no. Charlotte shook the strange feeling off.
“Cough.”
Charlotte lowered voice like a secret: “Other ways. Maybe…… consider Su Yan.”
“Su Yan?” Wen Shiyu lost.
“Student council has a special ‘Iris’ grant—enough for Saint Winsor tuition and more.”
Charlotte slow. “Fierce competition—but shortcuts exist.”
“Like…… council president Su Yan herself.”
Wen Shiyu more puzzled.
Charlotte smiled. “Get close to Su Yan. She might leak exam topics early?”
Wen Shiyu: ……
“Su Yan would never—”
“Why not—she wants you helping Cefalina wholeheartedly. Right?”
“And I feel she’s actually watching you quite a bit.”
Charlotte blinked and left. Wen Shiyu stood alone.
She shook her head, went upstairs.
In the novel Charlotte was dangerous too.
Su Yan—strong body, deep background—but upright, lines she would not cross.
Charlotte looked bubbly sweet clueless—but underneath very scheming. Would do anything for Cefalina.
Charlotte telling her to please Su Yan—Wen Shiyu wanted to run farther away.
……
Next day lab was far—Su Yan texted early she would drive.
Wen Shiyu bought coffee as ride courtesy—rare splurge.
Getting in Su Yan seemed distracted—did not look at her properly.
“Su Yan? Want coffee?”
Su Yan blank—saw the cup—reached—accidentally touched Wen Shiyu’s hand.
Pulled back—hands clasped—expression stranger.
“Mm…… put it down.”
Wen Shiyu blank. Disgusted?
But it was cafeteria coffee. Expensive stuff!!
Her heart bled. Should not have bought.
