Cheng Lang lowered his head and his lips lightly touched her cheek.
"Let's go."
"?" Shuangyun showed a puzzled expression.
Cheng Lang unlocked the door.
"Come to my place for dinner."
"Ah!? That's it?" Shuangyun asked.
Cheng Lang opened the door and looked at her with a smile: "Then what do you want?"
Shuangyun's reason instantly returned. She immediately put on a "pure" expression: "Ah, nothing, nothing. Let's go, let's go. I'm hungry!"
The two walked out of the office and into the elevator.
Cheng Lang held Shuangyun's hand.
Shuangyun turned her face away, showing a smug smile.
A few minutes' walk, and they were back at Cheng Lang's apartment.
It was already very different.
The living room had the sofa they'd chosen last time, with a new TV opposite.
Cheng Lang's original work desk had been moved near the living room balcony. That area was spacious, just right for his desk.
Shuangyun immediately jumped onto the sofa to test it: "Really nice! As expected from my choice!"
Cheng Lang put his things down and said he'd cook first, telling Shuangyun to watch TV and rest for a while.
As he spoke, Cheng Lang had already taken meat and vegetables from the refrigerator.
He hadn't gone to his parents' house for lunch last weekend, but had gone to the Chinese area to buy some fresh meat and vegetables. But Shuangyun had only come once on Saturday. He was actually somewhat confused about her.
He silently looked up. Shuangyun was intently adjusting the TV.
"Can you help me get something?" Cheng Lang spoke.
Shuangyun immediately put down the remote: "What?"
"At the island here. My hands are dirty, so it's inconvenient." Cheng Lang raised his hands that were handling meat.
Shuangyun immediately stood and walked over.
The island was covered with Cheng Lang's prepared ingredients. Shuangyun asked what he needed.
"On the left."
Shuangyun went to the left to look, but she didn't know what Cheng Lang wanted.
"What specifically?"
"Left." Cheng Lang still only gave the direction.
Shuangyun was confused. She carefully looked at the left side of the island again, then couldn't help rolling her eyes.
After rolling her eyes, she couldn't help but laugh out loud.
Cheng Lang also laughed, then went back to handling the meat.
On the left side of the island sat a newly purchased coffee machine.
Shuangyun had been immediately attracted by the living room sofa and TV when she entered, completely not noticing this coffee machine.
He still remembered.
Shuangyun thought, remembered her saying freeze-dried coffee didn't count as coffee.
With a smile on her lips, Shuangyun went to fiddle with the coffee machine.
She asked him: "When did you buy this?"
Cheng Lang: "Sunday."
Oh, the day after they'd confirmed their relationship.
"Then have you used it?" Shuangyun asked.
Cheng Lang: "No."
"Why not?" Shuangyun asked.
"I was about to ask you."
Shuangyun looked up at him puzzled. Cheng Lang turned on the faucet to wash his hands and asked calmly:
"Why didn't you come?"
