Linwen: "Really, Shuangyun, I really like you."
Shuangyun clicked on his profile picture to find the delete button.
Linwen: [Image]
Linwen sent a picture. Shuangyun's finger paused, then clicked to open it. Linwen had taken a photo of himself holding sleeping pills.
Shuangyun regretted not deleting him earlier.
Linwen: "Why do you always ignore my messages? I really want to die if you don't reply to my message!!!"
Shuangyun packed up her computer. Ian next to her asked quietly, "Are you leaving?"
Shuangyun nodded. "I have a migraine. It's an old problem. I'm leaving first."
As she spoke, she quietly left through the classroom's back door.
The first call Shuangyun made was to Linwen's friend.
"Linwen wants to commit suicide. Go check on him at his place quickly."
His friend was also shocked and immediately asked Shuangyun what was going on.
"He wants to take sleeping pills to kill himself. You know his address. Go check on him quickly. Also, remember to call the police."
After saying this, Shuangyun hung up. Linwen was still constantly sending her messages. Shuangyun deleted him.
She wanted to go back into the classroom, but her steps paused, and she sat down in the rest area in the hallway instead.
The evening was a bit cold. Shuangyun hadn't brought a jacket. She sat on the sofa looking into the distance.
After more than ten minutes, she sent a message to Linwen's friend: "How is it?"
The friend replied: "It's fine. There were only two sleeping pills in there. He's still making a scene though."
Shuangyun laughed, with some mockery, but her expression quickly darkened.
She hated people who didn't value their own lives most in this world.
The sounds from the classroom gradually quieted. Shuangyun picked up her phone and saw it was already past nine. Class was over.
Shuangyun sat outside waiting for a while. Cheng Lang came out quickly.
Shuangyun was about to speak to him when Cheng Lang said, "Wait here for me. I'm going to the office."
Shuangyun sat down again.
Ian appeared again, asking Shuangyun for her Instagram.
"I don't use any social media."
Ian: "Really?"
Shuangyun: "Really."
Ian: "What about your phone number?"
Shuangyun smiled at him. "Do you like me?"
Ian pursed his lips and smiled.
"Shuangyun Liang, let's go." Cheng Lang returned at that moment.
Shuangyun immediately stood up too. She waved at Ian. "Bye, I'm leaving first."
Then quickly left.
The two walked side by side out of the building. Shuangyun looked at Cheng Lang and deliberately teased him: "I never agreed to leave with you."
Cheng Lang turned his head to look at her.
Her complexion indeed wasn't very good. The cold wind blew, making her lips appear pale.
"I didn't mean that." Cheng Lang said.
"Oh? Then what did you mean?" Shuangyun looked at him.
Cheng Lang led her to a bright place and stopped.
"Here." He said.
Shuangyun looked down and saw he was holding a box of Panadol painkillers and a bottle of water.
"The office happened to have this." Cheng Lang said. "I hope you didn't get a headache from listening to my lecture."
Shuangyun was stunned for a moment, then smiled and turned her face away.
Did Ian tell him? Why were men so easy to fool? The migraine was just her excuse to brush off Ian.
Shuangyun took the medicine from Cheng Lang's hand.
"Thank you, Teacher Cheng."
Cheng Lang had no expression. "Now you can leave on your own too."
But Shuangyun didn't take his hint.
She said, "Teacher Cheng, you could have given this to me when Ian was there just now."
